Busan City completed the 'Dongbusan City Bus Public Garage Transfer Facility Maintenance Project' on the 15th to prevent traffic accidents during boarding, alighting, and transfers for passengers using the Dongbusan city bus public garage.

The city has been promoting the maintenance project to alleviate concerns about traffic accidents that may occur when passengers board, alight, and transfer at bus stops located on curves of the entrance and exit roads within the public garage, and to prevent collision accidents caused by nighttime traffic and bad weather when buses enter and exit the garage.

The city invested 700 million KRW and carried out the maintenance work independently from May 15.

Through this maintenance project, pedestrian walkways were created, new bus stops were installed, road surfaces inside and outside the garage were paved, compressed natural gas (CNG) facilities were maintained, and lighting towers were installed, transforming the public garage space.

This will resolve inconveniences for bus transfer passengers, provide a safe road environment, and secure nighttime visibility, offering a safe and pleasant environment for local residents and bus transportation workers.

Kang Hee-seong, Director of the City Transportation Innovation Bureau, stated, “We will continue to prioritize citizens’ safety and transportation convenience and strive to improve the transportation environment. We will also work to continuously improve inconveniences related to public garages managed by the city to create an environment where bus workers can work safely and comfortably.”
