Led by Seo Sugil, SOOP’s Chief BJ Officer (CBO), and the research and development team, the announced technologies include the customized AI solutions for streamers and users: ‘SAVVY (Soop Ai Virtual Video Yielder)’ and ‘SOOPI (SOOP Personalized Intelligence).’ The development was carried out in collaboration with Identify and Kaiga Co., Ltd.
SAVVY is a solution that generates AI videos to provide uninterrupted entertainment to users even when the streamer briefly steps away during a broadcast, based on the streamer’s personality and activities. For example, it can recreate the streamer’s appearance and vibe to dance for three minutes or maintain the broadcast according to desired settings.
SOOPI was developed under the concept of ‘My Video Assistant’ to enhance each user’s viewing experience. It learns users’ content preferences to offer optimized streamer and content recommendations, as well as personalized features like rewatching missed videos. Through this, users can discover broadcasts they missed or new streams that catch their interest, allowing for deeper immersion and a more enjoyable viewing experience.
SOOP plans to strengthen user experience by breaking down the boundaries between advertising and content through SAVVY and SOOPI. SAVVY recreates the streamer’s appearance and vibe with AI to produce customized advertisements, enabling users’ favorite streamers to appear as models in ads. Additionally, SOOPI learns users’ viewing patterns and preferences to recommend highly relevant ads and content. This aims to make advertisements an integral part of the personalized experience that users do not miss.
CBO Seo stated, "We focused on learning the streamer’s video data to capture emotions and expressing them through generative AI. Through this, we aim to support a deep emotional connection between streamers and users and create AI that truly helps each individual user."
The official launch date for SAVVY and SOOPI is the 28th of next month, when an awards ceremony for streamers will be held. SOOP also plans to release ‘SARSA (Soop AI Realtime Streaming Assistant)’ and ‘SUMMA (Soop Ultimate Multimedia Motion Actioner),’ which assist streamer activities, within next year.
