Discussion on Increasing Trips After Twice Daily Round Trips
Mayor Ikwonjae: "Fully Committed to Establishing Routes Needed by Citizens"
The limousine bus service between Osan Station and Gimpo International Airport, which was suspended due to a decrease in passengers after COVID-19, will resume from next month.
On the 14th, Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it signed a 'Osan-Gimpo Airport Intercity Bus Financial Agreement (MOU)' with KD Transportation Group at the city hall situation room. The agreement was attended by Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan, and Heo Sang-jun, CEO of KD Transportation Group, among others.

Under this agreement, starting next month, the limousine bus running between Osan Station and Gimpo Airport will operate twice daily, once in each direction. The city and KD Transportation Group will monitor demand to determine whether to increase the number of buses.
Earlier, in July, Mayor Lee visited the KD Transportation Group headquarters located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, met with CEO Heo, submitted a proposal outlining the plan for the route, and requested active cooperation.
At the signing ceremony, Mayor Lee stated, "The resumption of the limousine bus service to Gimpo Airport is a bus route that citizens truly need," and added, "We will continue to focus on expanding and reorganizing bus transportation that serves as the citizens' means of mobility."
Meanwhile, in addition to this limousine bus to Gimpo Airport, Mayor Lee has been working hard to expand metropolitan bus routes, including the opening of a route to Seoul Station (scheduled for the first half of next year), the establishment and separation of routes 8301 to Pangyo and Yatap Stations, and 8302 to Pangyo and Yatap Stations via Dongtan Station and Dongtan Lake Park. The city also plans to actively promote the establishment of new intercity bus routes in the East Seoul area.
