Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters Supports Atom Engineering Classroom Science Kits at Local Elementary Schools

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head Lee Gwang-hoon) held a ‘Atom Engineering Classroom Science Experience Kit Support Delivery Ceremony’ at Ilgwang Elementary School on the 13th to foster local scientific talent.

On this day, the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters sponsored a total of 12 million KRW worth of items, including science experience kits and snack gift sets, to Ilgwang Elementary School and Jangan Elementary School.

The ‘Atom Engineering Classroom’ is a social contribution program by the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters that supports children in easily and enjoyably learning scientific principles through assembling science experience kits.

Local elementary students participating in the event learned sound engineering and wireless communication technology using the ‘Bluetooth Speaker Making Kit’ and understood the principle of pumped storage power generation through the ‘Soap Bubble Generator Using a Pump Kit.’

Jung Jae-rak, Head of External Cooperation at Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, sent a message of encouragement, saying, “I hope the Atom Engineering Classroom provides a better educational environment for local children and becomes a great opportunity to feel science more familiar.”

The Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters continuously supports local youth through exam support supplies and study encouragement items, and plans to carry out various social contribution activities, including knowledge-sharing volunteer work for youth in areas surrounding nuclear power plants.
