"I Have Never Opposed Live Broadcasts of Trials"
The Democratic Party of Korea filed a complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against Representative Joo Jin-woo, the legal advisory chairman of the People Power Party, on charges of defamation by false facts.

On the 14th, the Democratic Party stated in a press release, "On the 13th, Representative Joo said, 'I deeply regret that Representative Lee Jae-myung ignored the public's right to know and opposed the live broadcast of the first trial on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act,' but this is clearly not true."
They continued, "During the court's comprehensive consideration of related legal interests to decide whether to allow live broadcasting of the trial, Representative Lee and his legal team did not express any opinions, and rather maintained a position of respecting the court's decision."
Earlier, the Democratic Party had demanded that Representative Joo correct the false facts and apologize, but he refused.
In a statement the previous day, Representative Joo responded to the Democratic Party's demand by saying, "If Representative Lee remained silent in a supportive manner, it means he opposed the live broadcast; then does that mean he agreed?" The Democratic Party claimed this was also an additional false statement.
