Chairman Shin Dong-bin and Over 40 Affiliate CEOs Attend
First Group-Level Event... Presentation of Design Philosophy

On the 14th, Lotte announced that it held the 'Design Strategy Meeting 2024' (hereinafter referred to as the Design Strategy Meeting) at Lotte World Tower. The Design Strategy Meeting is a forum to review Lotte's design and discuss future directions, and this is the first time it has been conducted at the group level. About 40 people attended the meeting, including Chairman Shin Dong-bin, the CEO and heads of Lotte Holdings, general representatives of each business division, and representatives of affiliated companies.

At the meeting, Lee Don-tae, head of the Design Strategy Center, announced the group's design philosophy and principles. The disclosed design philosophy is 'Empathy, From day to lifetime.' The company stated, "It means expanding empathy to realize the group vision of delivering the highest value throughout all stages of the customer's life cycle."

Lotte plans to continuously convey the message containing the group's design philosophy across all industries. It is expected to have a positive impact on corporate performance in the long term. Lotte plans to hold the Design Strategy Meeting annually. Additionally, the design philosophy established this time will be disseminated so that all affiliated companies can utilize it by the first half of next year.

A design exhibition booth themed 'The Future of Lotte Design' was also set up in the meeting room. Strategies to strengthen the design IP competitiveness of 15 affiliated companies, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte GRS, and Lotte World, were shared, along with plans to spread AI design ethics principles. A Lotte official said, "The Design Strategy Meeting is a place to understand the present and future of Lotte design and to establish the group's design identity," adding, "We expect to create group-level design synergy through Lotte's design philosophy."
