Dongducheon-si Conducts Maintenance of Beneficial Microorganism Distribution Containers for Winter Preparation

Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 14th that it has carried out maintenance on 77 distribution containers of Effective Microorganisms (EM) in preparation for the winter season.

In particular, heating wires were installed in 40 distribution containers with electricity supply to ensure that citizens can use Effective Microorganisms (EM) even during the winter season.

For the 37 locations where electricity supply is difficult, notices about the suspension of distribution were attached, and the containers will be collected sequentially from mid-November, then redeployed and redistributed after mid-March next year.

Every year, Dongducheon City classifies and operates the liquid-type Effective Microorganisms (EM) containers based on electricity supply during the winter period to prevent freezing and bursting.

Citizens who wish to use Effective Microorganisms (EM) in areas where the distribution containers have been collected can contact the EM Center to receive guidance on nearby operating locations.
