On the 13th, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province held a handover ceremony for the Yongin Volunteer Fire Brigade's on-site response vehicle at the Yongin Fire Station located in Yeokbuk-dong, Cheoin-gu. About 50 people attended the ceremony, including Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin, Fire Chief Ahn Ki-seung of Yongin Fire Station, and Lee Min-hee and Jo Rang-ja, presidents of the Yongin Volunteer Fire Brigade Association.

This vehicle support was made possible after Mayor Lee accepted the members' request for vehicle support during the Volunteer Fire Brigade's monthly meeting in February. The vehicle purchase budget utilized part of the special grant of 230 million KRW secured this year, awarded for being selected as an excellent institution in the '2023 Ministry of the Interior and Safety Disaster Management Evaluation.'
The Volunteer Fire Brigade's on-site response vehicle is used during normal times for patrolling safety-vulnerable areas and fire prevention activities. In the event of fires or disasters, it is promptly dispatched to the scene to assist with rescue, first aid, and fire suppression activities.
Mayor Lee said, "Citizens can live with peace of mind because there are volunteer firefighters who always serve at major events in the district and protect the site in preparation for safety accidents," adding, "We will do our best to support all of you who work hard on the front lines for citizen safety." The Yongin Volunteer Fire Brigade Association presented a plaque of appreciation to the mayor for supporting the fire brigade on this day.
