Dong-A University and Busan Saha District Office Sign Business Agreement for 'Youth Startup Revitalization Win-Win Cooperation'

Activation of Renewable Energy Startups, Operation of Youth Startup Bootcamp, and Support for Linking Local Entrepreneur Infrastructure

Dong-A University signed a business agreement with Busan Saha District Office for 'win-win cooperation to revitalize youth entrepreneurship.'

The signing ceremony, held on the 13th at the Saha District Office main building mayor's office, was attended by President Lee Hae-woo, Mayor Lee Gap-jun, and Dong-A University Startup Support Group Director Lee Hak-seong, among others.

This agreement aims to establish a virtuous cycle system for sustainable innovation and growth through the revitalization of youth entrepreneurship, build a cooperative system between local governments and universities, and create a youth-friendly startup ecosystem.

Through this agreement, Dong-A University and Busan Saha District Office agreed to collaborate on projects such as promoting startups in the district's key renewable energy sector, operating youth startup boot camps (step-by-step education for youth entrepreneurship), and supporting local entrepreneurs' linkage to university infrastructure to leap toward becoming unicorn companies.

Currently, Dong-A University is making multifaceted efforts to help prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs successfully operate their businesses through various projects such as the Early Startup Package Project, BI Support Project, Innopolis Campus Project, and Hana Social Venture University Project.

Busan Saha District operates a Youth Startup Support Center equipped with office spaces, seminar rooms, and prototype production rooms to support youth entrepreneurship. As key projects, it supports youth startups through crowdfunding support projects and activation support projects for one-person creative enterprise support centers, helping young people create new value with their original and innovative ideas.

President Lee Hae-woo said, "Through this agreement, it is very meaningful that the two institutions have pledged to join forces and provide practical support to young entrepreneurs," adding, "I hope this will become an important milestone for the development of the youth startup ecosystem, and I look forward to building a sustainable cooperative relationship by sharing each other's experiences and resources."
