On-site interviews were conducted for 241 persons with disabilities at the recruitment hall where 19 companies participated, including Small and Medium Business Corporation, Labom, ReturnMe, Shinheung, and NT Korea. As a result, 49 individuals were immediately hired for positions such as office work, office assistance, environmental maintenance, simple production, and packaging.

Additionally, 137 candidates were selected for re-interviews, and about 50 more hires are expected through these subsequent interviews. Those job-seeking persons with disabilities who are not hired in the re-interviews will continue their job search activities by being linked to the ‘2025 Jinju City Job Project for Persons with Disabilities,’ which will recruit a total of 190 people with applications accepted until the 25th of this month.

Jinju City also supports follow-up management for job seekers who participated in this fair. Even after the fair ends, the city checks employment status and adaptation to work, and for unemployed persons with disabilities, continuously connects them to suitable businesses and provides ongoing employment-related services. For job seekers requiring vocational training, the city plans to conduct training in cooperation with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled.

Mr. Kim, who visited the fair, said, “My child graduated from high school and was uncertain about their career path, so I felt overwhelmed. However, through the fair, I learned about various employment support programs (such as training) and received counseling and information, which was very helpful.”

Jo Ta-young, CEO of Labom, who participated in the job fair, said, “Businesses like ours that want to hire persons with disabilities often face difficulties because we do not know much about disability information or how to recruit. This fair was a great help as we were able to access many human resources. We thank Jinju City for organizing this event.”

Meanwhile, Jinju City continues to promote welfare projects for persons with disabilities, including disability call taxis and voucher taxis to guarantee mobility rights, lowering thresholds at workplaces to expand barrier-free facilities, disability job projects, and immediate support services for newly discovered and registered persons with disabilities.
