Additionally, simple changes such as investment plans related to 10 pledge projects including the “Dongducheon~Yeoncheon railway construction project” were reported with focus.

Furthermore, to ensure the proper implementation of pledge projects, a session was held for in-depth mutual sharing of opinions between the evaluation committee and the working departments by closely checking the progress.

Committee Chair Kim Young-bong stated, “I hope that various pledge projects that will serve as a foundation for widely promoting Yeoncheon-gun’s deep history and pristine ecological environment to the public and creating a positive image of the region will be actively implemented.”

Yeoncheon-gun Mayor Kim Deok-hyun said, “There is a need for changes in the roles of administrative organizations and the advancement of administration to promote the growth and transformation of Yeoncheon-gun. In line with the trend of increasing resident population, I hope the Pledge Implementation Evaluation Committee will frankly present tasks or projects that must be executed by breaking unnecessary customs and achieving the goal of Yeoncheon’s development through thorough analysis.”
