Gwangju City Holds the 2nd Youth Safety Network Steering Committee Meeting of 2024

On the 13th, Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province held a Youth Safety Network Steering Committee meeting at the City Hall Vision Hall, attended by 12 committee members, to protect and nurture at-risk youth.

The meeting included discussions on △the review of extended support for 2024 Youth Special Support Project recipients △inspection of the operation status and revitalization plans for the community youth integrated support system (Youth Safety Network) △and measures to activate support linkage among essential partner agencies for at-risk youth.

Jo Jong-ho, Director of the Administrative Autonomy Bureau and the committee chair, stated, “We will continue to strengthen cooperation among essential partner agencies to actively identify and support at-risk youth in welfare blind spots. We will spare no effort to ensure our youth grow up healthy and properly in a safe environment.”

Meanwhile, the Youth Safety Network Steering Committee is composed of youth-related officials from essential partner agencies, including Gwangju City, the Office of Education, police stations, public health centers, and youth facilities, to activate support linkage for at-risk youth.
