Gapyeong-gun Pledge Implementation Evaluation Team Confirms Major Pledge Project Sites

Gapyeong-gun "Continued Efforts to Fulfill Promises to Residents in the 8th Elected Term"

The Gapyeong County Pledge Implementation Evaluation Team announced on the 13th that on the 12th, they visited eight key pledge project sites to check the progress of projects fulfilling promises made to residents during the 8th local government term.

The evaluation team was formed with 20 members through an open recruitment process at the launch of the 8th local government term. They review the appropriateness of any changes to pledges and provide opinions from the residents' perspective.


The pledge project sites visited this time include △ Improvement of water supply social infrastructure △ Expansion of park golf courses (Gapyeong-eup and Buk-myeon) △ Construction of a senior citizens' center △ Construction of a lifelong learning center and operation of educational programs △ Creation of nightscape in Buk-myeon urban park △ Development of Buk-myeon forest ecological theme park △ Establishment of US and Commonwealth Tourism Security Park, among others.


Kim Sang-seop, head of the evaluation team, said, "It was a meaningful time to directly visit the pledge project sites, inspect them, and share achievements," adding, "We will continue to cooperate with Gapyeong County to ensure the smooth progress of the 8th local government term pledges."


Park No-geuk, deputy county governor, who accompanied the visit, stated, "We will carefully manage the pledge projects promised to residents during the 8th local government term and do our best to ensure the projects are perfectly carried out according to the construction schedule."
