The project involves the Korea Conformity Laboratories, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, Korea Chemical Convergence Testing Institute, Jeonnam Technopark, Chonnam National University, and the Advanced Technology Research Institute. A total of 16 billion KRW will be invested over four years until 2027, including 10.5 billion KRW in national funds, 1.65 billion KRW in provincial funds, and 3.85 billion KRW in city funds.

Upon completion, it is expected to greatly contribute to securing the safety of citizens and workers by linking with the ‘Yeosu Industrial Complex Digital Environment and Safety Integrated Control Center’ to prevent accidents through 24-hour monitoring and enable rapid response in case of accidents.

A city official stated, “We secured project funds after requesting government support to supplement the shortcomings discovered while operating the Yeosu Industrial Complex Digital Environment and Safety Integrated Control Center. We will diligently carry out the project over four years to create a safer Yeosu Industrial Complex.”
