Experience Booth Operated... Showcasing AI, Digital Twin Technology Experience and Simulation

Pohang City will introduce the digital twin service being developed at Guryongpo Port in Pohang at the 2024 Korea Government Expo.

An experience booth configured to demonstrate simulations according to various environmental changes at Guryongpo Port in Pohang and to monitor data collected by IoT sensors. Provided by Pohang City.

Held from the 13th to the 15th at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju, this expo brings together 130 organizations including central government ministries, local governments, public institutions, and related companies to share outstanding innovation cases by institution and present a future vision of Korea transformed by digital technology.

The city will operate a visualization experience booth where visitors can directly enjoy the cloud-based digital twin service.

The Pohang City exhibition hall is designed to allow direct monitoring of data collected by IoT sensors and features simulation demonstrations related to environmental changes such as air pollution, marine environment analysis and prediction, and fishing vessel entry and exit management around the digital twin pilot area of Guryongpo Port in Pohang.

In June, the city was selected for the digital twin pilot project (rural type) by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Accordingly, the city is developing services that scientifically establish policies and efficiently resolve local fishing village issues by utilizing advanced digital technologies such as digital twin and AI, and plans to showcase these services at the "Smart Government" exhibition hall during this expo.

A Pohang City official stated, “We will actively promote various policies using digital technology for a better life for citizens and discover innovative cases that citizens can directly experience.”
