This project was established to build a health management system based on artificial intelligence (AI) and information and communication technology (ICT) using robots equipped with the generative AI ‘Chat-GPT’ in preparation for a super-aged society.

Through the project, 100 single elderly households requiring intensive health management among the home health care recipients will be selected, provided with AI robots, and offered customized health management by visiting nurses along with emergency safety management services for six months.

The AI robots will provide various functions such as ▲improving self-health management abilities (alarms for regular medication and meal management) ▲emotional support (voice conversation service) ▲cognitive enhancement (providing disease prevention content such as quizzes and songs) ▲motion detection for preventing solitary deaths and safety management ▲real-time monitoring through an emergency control system and connecting to guardians and 119 emergency services when necessary, thereby helping to address the care gap for the elderly.

Director Jang Yeon-guk stated, “The establishment of a systematic system for the health and safety of single elderly people using AI robots will play a significant role in preventing solitary deaths in the future.”
