Change of Guri Station Route from Gyeongui-Jungang Line to Byeollae Line for Resident Convenience

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 13th that it started operating route 3 of the village bus operated by Happy Transport Co., Ltd. with a changed route from the 11th to improve vehicle flow near the congested Gyeongui-Jungang Line Guri Station and to enhance connectivity and accessibility between public transportation.

The city changed the part of route 3 of the village bus that originally passed through Gyeongui-Jungang Line Guri Station to pass through Exit 7 of Byeollae Line Guri Station to solve the traffic congestion problem near Guri Station caused by many village bus passengers getting on and off and to strengthen connectivity with the Byeollae Line, which opened in August.

Through this measure, the city expects that the transfer convenience for Byeollae Line users will be greatly improved.

In addition, since the completion of the Guri Station Transfer Center, Guri City plans to change other village bus routes to pass through the transfer center to secure a more systematic vehicle flow.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “This route change is the first step to improving public transportation transfer convenience for citizens using the Byeollae Line,” and added, “We will work hard to promptly build the Guri Station Transfer Center and develop Guri City into a hub city for metropolitan transportation in the northeastern part of the Seoul metropolitan area.”
