On the 12th, Guro-gu held the '2024 Integrated Case Management Best Practices Sharing Meeting' at the district office auditorium to strengthen the discovery of excellent cases through public-private cooperation.

The sharing meeting was attended by about 100 public officials from community service centers, private welfare agency staff, visiting nurses, and Dream Start case managers, all practitioners of public-private case management.

As a pre-event, flutist Kim Dong-jin was invited to perform pieces that comfort the underprivileged in our society, adding significance to the event.

This year, a total of 27 cases were submitted from public and private institutions for the excellent case management contest. Among them, 8 cases were selected as excellent cases through evaluation, awarded commendations, and 4 cases of the best and excellent cases shared their field experiences through presentations.

The two best cases selected were ▲"Community Interest Saves a Family" (Park Young-sook, Officer, Guro 2-dong Community Service Center) and ▲"Interest Awakens Potential" (Sim Ye-ran, Social Worker, Guro-gu Family Center). The two excellent cases were ▲"Grandmother's Funeral Wishes" (Oh Hyun-bi, Officer, Gaebong 1-dong Community Service Center) and ▲"Small Attempts for Change Lead to Recovery" (Kim Eun, Social Worker, Gung-dong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center).

The Guro 2-dong case was highly evaluated for continuously persuading elderly Mr. A, who lived isolated from the outside without even registering his move-in, along with his adult child with intellectual disabilities, by arranging a job for the disabled child and improving the living environment, thereby guiding Mr. A back into society.

The Guro-gu Family Center received positive evaluations for actively engaging with the family of Mr. B, who faced complex crises including business failure and his child's attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), supporting their move into an LH rental housing and the child's treatment, helping Mr. B to stand up again.

A Guro-gu official stated, "As the number of crisis households with various complex causes has greatly increased recently, the importance of integrated case management is growing," and added, "Based on the achievements of the past year, the public and private sectors will cooperate more closely to do their best in discovering welfare blind spots."
