About 20 heads of organizations from Jangan-eup and Ilgwang-eup Muno-seong Village attended the briefing session, where the results of the contribution analysis survey were presented and various opinions from residents were collected.

This survey was conducted with the purpose of analyzing and creating data on how much the regional support funds and local taxes supported and paid by the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters contribute to community development.

Furthermore, based on these results, the survey was conducted to prepare regional support measures that residents can tangibly feel.

The survey period was approximately four months, from March 18 to July 17 of this year. The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Pusan National University investigated and analyzed statutory support funds, non-statutory support funds, and other local taxes totaling 1.17 trillion KRW that the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters has supported for community development over 18 years from 2006 to 2023.

According to the final report, quantitative analysis showed that the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters' support funds contributed approximately 19.23% annually to the development of Gijang-gun compared to the scenario without the support funds.

For the input data of the quantitative analysis, 10 indicators across five fields (education and scholarships, regional economy, cultural promotion, regional welfare, environmental improvement) such as the annual change rate of the elementary school student population ratio, GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product), and welfare budget were utilized. Through statistical analysis, the annual growth rates were derived and averaged.

In the qualitative analysis, 34 support projects were selected and interviews were conducted with local representatives to derive results. The 'effectiveness' and 'satisfaction' of the support were generally high, while 'responsiveness' (whether projects desired by residents were actually implemented) was found to need improvement.

The Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to carefully review the final results and continuously collect residents' opinions to reflect them in the implementation of support projects that the community can genuinely feel and that can improve quality of life.
