6km·11km, 3 Half Marathon Events... Over 720 Participants
On the 10th, Naju City in Jeollanam-do successfully concluded the '22nd Geumseongsan Forest Trail Marathon' held around Geumseongsan and Dongshin University.
According to the city on the 12th, the event, hosted and organized by the Naju Marathon Club and Naju Athletics Federation, attracted about 720 marathon enthusiasts. The race featured three categories: 6 km, 11 km, and half marathon, starting from Dongshin University Stadium and passing through Taepyeongsa, Ecological Forest, and Dongmakgol Reservoir.

The opening ceremony was attended by Yoon Byung-tae, Mayor of Naju, Shin Jung-hoon, Member of the National Assembly, Lee Jae-nam, Chairman of the Naju City Council, and Kim Jae-eok, President of the Naju Sports Council.
Since April, the city has attracted 15,000 marathon enthusiasts this year, including the '10th Yeongsangang Marathon' in April and the '2024 National Naju Marathon' linked with the 2024 Naju Yeongsangang Festival in October, revitalizing the local community.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, "Following Yeongsangang, this event provided an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful autumn scenery and take care of health and memories at Geumseongsan, an ecological resource that Naju is proud of," adding, "We will continue to invigorate the local economy through nationwide sports events."
