Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will issue 4 billion KRW worth of ‘Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates’ at 10 a.m. on the 13th to mark the end of the year.
The Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates, which offer a 10% discount effect through a 5% discount rate and a 5% payback event, can be purchased up to 500,000 KRW per person per month, with a holding limit of 1.5 million KRW. They can be used at Seongbuk Love Gift Certificate affiliated stores within Seongbuk-gu. The issued gift certificates can be purchased until the 10th of next month.
The Seongbuk Love Gift Certificate payback event, which has been ongoing since last September, will be extended until the 22nd of next month and will continue until the budget is exhausted. The payment method remains the same: 5% of the gift certificate payment amount used from this month will be paid later in a lump sum as mobile Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates through the Seoul Pay+ app.
The Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates, which provide a total 10% discount effect (5% discount issuance + 5% payback event), have shown a noticeable increase in sales and usage rates with a total issuance of 56 billion KRW this year, promoting consumption and revitalizing the local economy.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, “As the year-end approaches, I sincerely hope that despite the difficult economic situation, people can enjoy the 10% discount effect of the Seongbuk Love Gift Certificates, reducing household burdens and increasing sales for small business owners, creating a warm winter.”
