"Promoting Car Safety Culture" Agreement Between Car Safety Society and Journalists Association

The Korea Automobile Journalists Association and the Korean Society of Automotive Safety held a business agreement on the 12th for mutual support and cooperation to develop the automobile industry. According to the agreement, they decided to join forces in various future development plans, including joint research for the development of automobile industry and safety technologies, consultation on the use of information and data, and participation in events for each other's members.


At the business agreement ceremony, Lee Kang-hyun, president of the Korean Society of Automotive Safety, said, "The mutual cooperation between the Korean Society of Automotive Safety, an academic institution representing the domestic automobile safety field, and the Korea Automobile Journalists Association, which conveys voices from various sectors of our society centered on the keyword 'automobile,' is expected to greatly contribute to the academic and industrial development in the fields of automobile and mobility safety."

Choi Dae-yeol, president of the Korea Automobile Journalists Association, said, "I hope that through various activities such as symposiums and forums on automobile safety and promotion of international cooperation with the Korean Society of Automotive Safety, this will become an opportunity to help the development of the industry."


As part of this agreement, a jointly hosted forum was held in conjunction with the International Academic Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM), which opened the previous day. At the forum, Shin Jae-gon, head of the Autonomous A2Z project team, presented on the core issues and commercialization prospects of autonomous driving technology, and Park Jong-jin, head of the Traffic Division at the National Forensic Service, gave a presentation on automobile accidents and the reproduction of edge cases in autonomous driving.
