Daejin University Department of Smart Convergence Security Signs Industry-Academic MOU with SK Shieldus

Corporate Visit Collaboration for Fostering Cybersecurity Professionals

Cybersecurity specialist SK Shieldus announced on the 12th that it will actively cooperate with Daejin University’s Department of Smart Convergence Security to nurture innovative talent in the field of cybersecurity.

On the 5th, the Department of Smart Convergence Security at Daejin University visited SK Shieldus (Pangyo) and signed a business agreement to cultivate cybersecurity talent. Along with the signing ceremony, they conducted a practical cybersecurity field tour at industry sites such as Secudium.


The business agreement with SK Shieldus consists of collaborative efforts including the operation of various matters for SW/AI majors and convergence education reflecting industry demand.


Meanwhile, on the day of the SK Shieldus field tour, students experienced △ an introduction to SK Shieldus △ a job briefing session for employment in the cybersecurity field △ the SK Shieldus Rookies program △ an introduction to SECUDIUM and the security monitoring process and career path △ and a tour of the Security Monitoring Center, to help them envision their future.


Students who participated in this field tour evaluated it as "an opportunity to deeply consider the workplace environment, the type of talent companies seek, and what we need to prepare for employment."


Professor Seongjin Lee, head of the department, said, "Through this business agreement, we will actively promote activities for students’ successful entry into society and will actively reflect industry demands to cultivate cybersecurity professionals who can promptly respond to field requirements." He added, "Taking this field tour as an opportunity, we will continuously discover excellent companies to help students design and dream about their future, doing our best to improve their job understanding and employment mindset."
