Kocca's 'Content Insight' on 21st and 22nd
Featuring Director John Kurs and PD Kim Hak-min
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will hold 'Content Insight' on the 21st and 22nd at the Hongneung Content Talent Campus in Seoul.
It is a place where domestic and international content masters present the latest trends and development directions, and share excellent content insights. This year, experts in intellectual property (IP), creative convergence, advanced technology (Tech), and platforms will give lectures, workshops, and panel talks under the theme "Evolution of the next Contents: Imagination Becomes Reality."
On the first day, director John Kahrs, who won an Academy Award for the short animation 'Paperman,' will share behind-the-scenes stories of world-renowned animations such as 'A Bug's Life,' 'Toy Story 2,' and 'Tangled.' He will also introduce storytelling techniques and strategies for successfully expanding IP in the global market.
Director Kim Seong-han and writer Kim Kyung-chan of the film 'Hijacking' will share know-how on creating and directing film IP based on true stories. Producers Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji of Netflix's 'Chef & My Fridge: The Chef Class War' will also participate to discuss behind-the-scenes stories and the global expansion potential of entertainment IP.
Outstanding mentees from the Content Creative Talent Accompaniment Project, a talent development program by the Korea Creative Content Agency, will also appear as speakers. They include writer Byeon Jae-ah of the webtoon 'Red String,' writer Kim Young-yoon of the drama 'Family X Melo,' and writer Jo Yoo-jin of the film 'Pilot.' They will share vivid experiences and inspire future creators.
On the second day, Gretchen Libby from AWS (Amazon Web Services) will talk about insights gained from Hollywood blockbuster production experience and the future of content production driven by advanced technology.
Paul Ditterman, music director of Netflix's 'Marvel Daredevil,' will share his experiences participating in music and sound design work, and Dan Smiczek of Amazon Studios, who produced 'The Lord of the Rings' and Disney+’s 'The Mandalorian,' will present future development directions of content production using advanced technologies such as ICVFX (In-Camera Visual Effects) and motion capture.
There will also be opportunities to share future strategies and insights of major domestic and international OTT platforms. Jeon Taek-su, CPO of TVING, and Kausal Modi, Vice President of JPN, will provide marketing insights, and director Park So-yeon, who directed 'Pyramid Game,' will review the production and planning process of OTT original content. JPN is a leading OTT platform representing India.
