Four Minors Caught at Crime Scene, Police Notified
Ulsan Ulju-gun CCTV Integrated Control Center contributed to the arrest of vehicle thieves by cooperating with the police through real-time monitoring.
According to Ulju-gun on the 12th, at around 1:11 a.m. on the 11th, four men were caught forcibly opening the doors of construction equipment and passenger cars parked on the road in Guyeong-ri, Beomseo-eup, Ulju-gun, using tools.
An agent at the Ulju-gun CCTV Integrated Control Center who witnessed this through real-time monitoring immediately reported it to the police 112 situation room and tracked their movements through focused surveillance, helping with a swift arrest.
The police who arrived at the scene, with the cooperation of the control center, found the suspects hiding in a villa parking lot near the crime scene and arrested all of them within 35 minutes of the incident.
Police investigation confirmed that all four men caught were minors under their teens.
An Ulju-gun official said, “With 24-hour real-time monitoring by skilled control agents, we are doing our best to prevent local crimes and accidents,” adding, “We will do our best to create a safe Ulju-gun through the installation of new CCTVs in crime-prone areas and efficient surveillance using an intelligent control system.”
