The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam held the ‘2024 Changwon Commerce and Industry Awards’ ceremony at the Grand Ballroom of the Changwon Rivera Convention.
The ceremony was attended by about 150 people, including Choi Jae-ho, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Son Tae-hwa, Chairman of the Changwon Special City Council, Ye Kyung-tak, President of BNK Gyeongnam Bank, as well as heads of related organizations and businesspeople.
The Changwon Commerce and Industry Awards are the highest honors in the local economy, recognizing individuals who have dedicated themselves to the promotion of local commerce and industry and community service.
At the ceremony held on the 11th, the following were awarded in the mid-sized and large enterprise category: ▲ Management Award - Jeong Yeon-in, Vice Chairman and CEO of Doosan Enerbility Co., Ltd. ▲ Technology Award - Lee Sang-su, CEO of STX Engine Co., Ltd. ▲ Labor Award - Lee Yoon-jong, Head of Changwon Management Headquarters at Hyosung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. ▲ Regional Contribution Award - Gyeongnam Steel Co., Ltd.
In the small and medium enterprise category, the awards went to: ▲ Management Award - Choi Joo-won, CEO of Kotek Co., Ltd. ▲ Technology Award - Park Woong, Head of the Technology Research Institute at STank Engineering Co., Ltd. ▲ Labor Award - Lee Sang-ha, Manager at Masan New Port Operations Co., Ltd. ▲ Regional Contribution Award - Rivera Tourism Development Co., Ltd. Additionally, Hakmundang, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, was selected as the special award recipient, adding significance to the event.
Chairman Choi Jae-ho said, “Our entrepreneurs are people who challenge themselves to make the imperfect perfect. Although there are difficult moments and times when we stumble on the path to perfection, we were able to stand up again thanks to the support and encouragement of local community members. The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry will never hesitate to work for the local economy and businesses. I promise to do my utmost to protect the local economy and our industry.”
