On the 11th, Veterans Day in the United States (local time), President-elect Donald Trump paid tribute to veterans.

On the morning of the day, Trump posted a brief message on his Truth Social saying "Happy Veterans day" along with a photo of a salute against the backdrop of the American flag. However, Trump did not post any other messages on social media.

His wife, Melania Trump, also posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Today we honor and pay tribute to all veterans who have bravely served our country. Your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication inspire us all."

JD Vance, the vice president-elect and a Marine Corps veteran, also said on X, "Thank you to all veterans who have worn this country's uniform. In a nation blessed with tremendous natural resources, perhaps the most precious resource is the millions willing to wear the uniform and serve."

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden attended the Veterans Day event held at Arlington National Cemetery along with Vice President Kamala Harris and others. This was the first time Vice President Harris appeared in a public schedule with President Biden since the election defeat.

After laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, President Biden said in his commemorative speech, "This is the last time I stand here at Arlington as Commander-in-Chief," adding, "Serving, caring for, and leading you, just as you have protected us, has been the greatest honor of my life."

He continued, "Today, we reflect on what all veterans have given to America. Now is the time to keep faith in each other and unite as one nation," emphasizing. He added, "the world continues to rely on each of you and all of us to protect everything they fought for and to heal America's wounds."
