An Opportunity to Recognize the Importance of Secondary Batteries
The Secondary Battery Integrated Management Center at Gyeongbuk Technopark conducted basic theory education on secondary batteries at POMIA from the 4th to the 6th, followed by on-site customized training at Blue Valley Industrial Complex on the 7th.

About 30 second-year students from Pohang Steel Technical High School participated in this training, learning the basic theory of secondary battery batteries and gaining theoretical knowledge of the four main materials of secondary batteries?cathode, anode, electrolyte, and separator?through coin cell practice.
Beyond the previously limited theory-focused education, on-site customized training was conducted, introducing actual electric vehicle batteries and performance evaluation equipment.
Additionally, the electric vehicle battery shape reverse engineering system was used to inspect safety, and the process of building a database related to LFP batteries attracted significant interest from the students.
In particular, the content related to ‘used battery recycling’ provided students, who were usually unfamiliar with this topic, an opportunity to recognize the importance of extending the lifespan of secondary batteries and environmental protection.
Going forward, the Secondary Battery Integrated Management Center plans to present various career paths and prospects in the secondary battery industry and the used battery industry, taking charge of nurturing local talent, strengthening cooperation through communication between the public and private sectors, and building networks.
Ha In-seong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, “We will continue to provide various educational programs related to secondary batteries and contribute to nurturing local talent and industrial development through cooperation between the public and private sectors.”
