Gwangjin-gu, Over 250 Employees Attend Active Administration Lecture by Chungju Man Kim Seontae at Gwangjin-gu Office Auditorium on the 11th at 1 PM
Lecture on Proactive Administration Based on Chungju City's YouTube Success Case
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the ‘2024 Proactive Administration and Integrity Joint Training’ on the 11th at the Gwangjin-gu Office auditorium.
This training was organized to enhance understanding and interest in proactive administration and integrity, and to encourage participation in order to carry out trusted communication administration. It was conducted for about 250 employees, including those promoted this year and newly appointed staff, from 1 PM for three hours.
Starting with an introduction of the instructor, the sessions on proactive administration and integrity education were held in sequence. The proactive administration lecture was given by Officer Kim Seon-tae, famous as the Chungju Man. Officer Kim explained proactive administration and work innovation based on the successful case of Chungju City’s YouTube channel. He humorously shared the process from when he was first in charge of promotion to becoming the best YouTube channel among local governments nationwide.
Following this, the integrity education took place. Je-hoon Kim, a specialist instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute, explained the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act and the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act in an easy-to-understand manner with case-centered examples.
An employee who attended the training said, “It was amazing to see the Chungju Man, whom I had only seen on the YouTube channel, up close. The words that I can change the organization through my personal efforts really touched my heart. I will break away from the conventional, routine way of handling work, consider the perspective of the demand-side residents once more, and approach my duties with a proactive and active attitude.”
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Proactive administration and integrity are the foundation for the continuous growth and development of our organization. I hope that through this training, integrity and proactive communication administration will be carried out more actively,” and added, “We will continue to provide trusted administration to residents based on kindness and communication.”
Meanwhile, in the 2023 Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission integrity evaluation, the district achieved the highest comprehensive integrity grade among 10 institutions out of 243 local governments nationwide, and in September, the ‘Six-Day-a-Week Household Waste Collection System’ was selected as the best proactive administration case in Seoul.
