Achieving Results in Agricultural Policy Projects for Building a 'Future-Oriented Wealthy Rural Community'
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province won the Grand Prize at the '2024 Gyeongsangbuk-do City and County Agricultural Policy Evaluation' held on the 11th at the Dongnak Hall of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office.
This agricultural policy evaluation was conducted to revitalize various agricultural sectors, including agricultural policies, agro-food distribution, eco-friendly agriculture, livestock policies, rural vitality, and special projects across 22 cities and counties in the province.
Yeongju City received high praise for its proactive policy implementation across all agricultural projects aimed at building a future-oriented prosperous rural community, earning the Grand Prize.
Yeongju City is receiving the top award in the agricultural administration evaluation among cities and counties in Gyeongbuk Province.
Despite challenging conditions such as falling agricultural product prices due to climate change, the city has promoted various agricultural projects and public contests to strengthen the competitiveness of Yeongju agriculture. Notably, the establishment of the 'Agro-specialty Products Grand Festival' to expand sales channels for excellent local agricultural specialties and the introduction of foreign seasonal workers attracted attention.
