Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 11th that it will recruit 12 local residents to work as Our Neighborhood Expert Instructors until the 29th.
‘Our Neighborhood Expert Instructors’ is a learning-sharing project of Seo-gu Sekundae (The Biggest University in the World), where local residents with their own skills or know-how become instructors and provide diverse learning opportunities.

Among the Expert Instructor programs held this year, ‘I am also a Gimbap Master’ featured a master who has long operated a snack bar sharing the secret to rolling gimbap that never unravels, and ‘Sekundae Drum School’ taught beginners who wanted to learn drums the know-how.
Applications for Our Neighborhood Expert Instructors can be submitted by filling out the instructor application form and sending it via email or visiting the Happiness Education Division of Seo-gu Office.
Lee Hojun, Director of the Happiness Education Division, said, “We are striving to spread a culture of learning sharing through the talent donation of local residents,” and added, “Even simple know-how sharing is welcome, so we hope hidden talents will show great interest in the recruitment of Our Neighborhood Expert Instructors.”
Meanwhile, Seo-gu will hold the ‘1st Sekundae, Seo-gu Graduation Ceremony and Performance Sharing Event’ at the Deulbul Hall of Seo-gu Office on the 14th, where degrees will be awarded to graduates and performances by students as well as various experience booths will be held.
