Entry "Nonhani Daphada" in Poetry Category Wins Minister of Personnel Management Award

Lee Sanghyeok, team leader of the Rural Development Division in Dangjin-si, Chungnam, submitted the poem "Nonhani Daphada" to the "2024 Public Service Literature Award Competition" and received the Silver Prize (Minister of Personnel Management Award) on the 8th.

The "Public Service Literature Award" is a prestigious award hosted by the Ministry of Personnel Management and organized by the Government Employees Pension Service, targeting current and former public officials, public employees, and contract workers nationwide.

This year, a total of 1,152 works were submitted in eight categories, including poetry, sijo, essays, and short stories. After a national vote and evaluation by a panel of literary experts, 46 final winning works were selected.

The poem "Nonhani Daphada" metaphorically expresses the joys and sorrows of impermanent life through the creatures living in rice paddies, using a farmer's reminiscence to convey multiple meanings.

The winning works will be published as e-books and posted on the websites of the Ministry of Personnel Management and the Government Employees Pension Service.
