Visiting Naebaek, Dobuk, and Hagyo Villages in Sudong-myeon
Focusing on Listening to Residents' Voices and Livelihood Issues
Jin Byeong-yeong, the governor of Hamyang County, Gyeongnam, continued his on-site communication by visiting Sudong-myeon to listen to the voices of the residents.
Following visits to Hamyang-eup and Macheon-myeon in Hamyang County, and Huchun-myeon and Yurim-myeon in October, on the 8th he visited three sites in Sudong-myeon related to public livelihood: small-scale irrigation canal maintenance in Naebaek Village, agricultural road maintenance in Gupyeongjeondeul of Dobuk Village, and the new construction site of Hagyo Village Hall.
County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong is having an in-depth discussion with the village chiefs and residents who came to the site.
The first site visited was the small-scale irrigation canal maintenance area in Naebaek Village, where leakage caused by aging canals has been damaging farmers. Governor Jin engaged in in-depth discussions with the village head and residents present on-site about plans to install new canals to provide agricultural water more conveniently to surrounding farms, in addition to repairing the existing canals.
Next, he visited the agricultural road maintenance site in Gupyeongjeondeul of Dobuk Village, where landslide soil runoff has caused inconvenience to traffic. He empathized with the difficulties faced by orchard farmers and employees of the Hamyang-Sancheong Livestock Cooperative feed factory, and ordered prompt administrative measures to prevent any loss of life or property by quickly consulting with landowners.
Finally, he visited Hagyo Village to ensure that the newly constructed village hall would serve as a space for residents' convenience and welfare enhancement, urging careful consideration of the surrounding environment and attention to even the smallest details during project implementation.
Governor Jin stated, “I feel it is most important to hear the voices of the county residents vividly on-site and solve problems.” He added, “We plan to continuously check issues closely related to residents’ lives and reflect them in county administration going forward.”
