World Heritage Okcheon Tumuli and Representative Artifact Photos
Exhibited in Hapcheon Library Lobby Until the 29th
Hapcheon Museum in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, is holding a "Visiting Small Exhibition" themed on the World Heritage Okcheon Tumuli until the 29th in the lobby of Hapcheon Library.
A "Visiting Small Exhibition" themed on the World Heritage Okcheon Burial Mounds is being held in the lobby of Hapcheon Library.
This exhibition is part of a business agreement signed in May between Hapcheon Museum and Hapcheon Library and was planned as a cultural and artistic cooperation project. Especially since the main building of Hapcheon Museum is currently closed due to the renovation of the permanent exhibition hall, this exhibition was prepared to continuously attract interest in the museum and to widely promote the World Heritage value of the Okcheon Tumuli ahead of the reopening.
Citizens visiting the library can view excavation photos of the Okcheon Tumuli and photos of representative relics, and a hands-on corner is also set up in the children's reading room where visitors can see and touch replicas of pottery excavated from the Okcheon Tumuli.
A representative of Hapcheon Museum said, "We hope that residents visiting Hapcheon Library will have a chance to understand the main exhibits of the museum in their daily lives and feel the value of the Okcheon Tumuli," adding, "We also ask for much interest and visits when the main building reopens after the renovation."
