Gyeryong City Creates Safe Test Environment for College Entrance Exam Takers

Gyeryong City Creates Safe Test Environment for College Entrance Exam Takers Last year's CSAT exam scene / Gyeryong City

Gyeryong City in South Chungcheong Province announced that it will work to create a safe test environment in preparation for the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) to be held on the 14th.

According to the city on the 11th, this year's CSAT will be held at two test centers within the city, Gyeryong High School and Yongnam High School, from 8:40 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. (for general test-takers). The number of test-takers is 652.

The city will restrict vehicle entry and exit around the test centers and focus on guiding and cracking down on illegal parking and stopping.

In addition, the working hours of public institutions will be delayed by one hour, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

In particular, during the third period English listening test, which requires strict noise control on the day of the CSAT (from 1:10 p.m. to 1:35 p.m., for 25 minutes), the city plans to intensively monitor traffic noise such as car horns around the test centers and, in cooperation with relevant agencies, thoroughly control noise from construction sites and military training.

Furthermore, in preparation for fires and emergency disasters on the day of the CSAT, the city will conduct fire safety inspections together with the Gyeryong Fire Station and has established an emergency medical system for the swift transfer of patients in case of emergency.

In addition, to prevent stress from the CSAT from leading to delinquent behavior among students, the city will carry out intensive inspections and guidance activities regarding harmful environments for youth after the exam.

Mayor Lee Eungwoo said, "I hope all test-takers visiting the test centers will be able to fully demonstrate the skills they have honed so far," and added, "The city will spare no administrative support so that students can achieve the results they desire."
