On the 11th, GKL announced that it signed a "business agreement to revitalize foreign inbound tourism through upgrading casino tourism products" with Lotte Entertainment Korea, which operates the Landing Casino within Jeju Shinhwa World.

Under this agreement, GKL's self-developed table game "BROG" will be introduced at the Landing Casino, and GKL will provide the usage rights of BROG free of charge. The agreement period lasts until December 31, 2027. BROG is the first table game developed from a domestic idea to be introduced in a casino.

BROG is a table-based card game service independently developed in 2022 by GKL's in-house venture "Percent K." The game proceeds in a stepping-stone style, similar to the five-stage mission of crossing glass panels in Netflix's original drama "Squid Game." The game starts with players predicting which side will win among the two divided zones from rounds 1 to 4, selecting one side, and betting the same amount.

Among the four suits depicted on the cards, the ranking is determined in the order of Spades, Diamonds, Hearts, and Clubs. If the card on the side the player bet on in round 1 is higher, the player receives 1x the bet amount. By flipping cards up to round 4, players can earn 2x for winning round 2, 5x for round 3, and up to 10x for round 4. Betting is also possible on the "Option" area above round 4, where if all cards in one row from rounds 1 to 4 show the same suit, players can expect a "Jackpot" paying 60 times the bet amount.

BROG completed mathematical evaluation certification (return rate, payout rate) from the international game certification body BMM in 2022 and registered a domestic patent. It is currently undergoing procedures to acquire rights for overseas patents and intellectual property.

This agreement is the result of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province's 2020 initiative to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic casino industry by securing diversity in table games, which led to the addition of "other card games" as a business category in casino operations.

Kim Young-san, President of GKL, said, "We hope that the game developed by GKL will satisfy foreign preferences and establish itself as new tourism content," adding, "We will continue to faithfully fulfill our mission for the development of the tourism industry as a public tourism corporation and do our best to realize social value."
