Samsung Electronics announced that it will unveil 15 works by Park Seo-bo on the 11th via the Samsung Art Store, available on Samsung Lifestyle TV 'The Frame.' The Samsung Art Store offers approximately 2,500 works by world-renowned museums and art masters in 4K quality.
The 15 works being released include representative pieces by Park Seo-bo such as Myobeop No.34-79 (created in 1979), Myobeop No.900719 (1990), and Myobeop No.081105 (2008).
Park Seo-bo was a pioneer of Dansaekhwa, leading the Korean contemporary art scene. Unlike Western art, which visualizes the artist's thoughts on canvas, he embodied Dansaekhwa, an art form that empties the self, dedicating his life to creating Myobeop works. His pieces are held in prestigious museums worldwide, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Leeum Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Earlier, in July last year, Samsung Electronics showcased Park Seo-bo’s representative works on a 146-inch 4K screen through the Micro LED display 'The Wall All-in-One' at an exhibition in the Rockefeller Center, USA.
Kim Yong-soo, team leader of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business Division, said, "We will continue to expand various collaborations to provide Art Store users with a broad artistic experience that transcends East and West as well as modern and classical art."
