Sojinkong, Expanding RPA to Enhance Work Efficiency

The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 11th that it will expand the application scope of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to 10 additional tasks to improve administrative work efficiency.

RPA (Robotics Process Automation) is a technology that automates repetitive and rule-based tasks performed by humans by applying software robots.

For example, RPA can be applied to repetitive administrative tasks occurring in processes such as issuing required documents for support projects, processing allowance payments, and handling expenditure approval vouchers, thereby reducing the manpower and time required.

Since March, the Small Enterprise and Market Service has piloted RPA in five tasks, including issuing confirmation documents for small business owners in the re-start support project and automating consultant expenditure approval preparation, and will expand to 10 tasks starting in November.

The tasks applied this time include automating the processing of job transition allowance payments and automating the review of application documents for the Smart Store technology dissemination project, expecting to save about 3,000 work hours monthly.

Going forward, the Small Enterprise and Market Service plans to rapidly promote digital transformation across all tasks by expanding RPA through internal feedback collection and discovering excellent external cases.

Park Seonghyo, Director of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, stated, "In the rapidly changing era of digital transformation, changes are required in administration as well," adding, "By focusing employees' capabilities on high value-added core tasks with the time saved through work automation, we will be able to provide even more enhanced policy support services for small business owners."
