From the 11th to the 20th, Gyeonggi Province will form a joint inspection team with the Construction Project Management Group and contractors to conduct winter safety inspections at railway construction sites. The inspection targets are three railway construction sites in the Dobongsan-Ogjeong Metropolitan Railway Sections 1, 2, and 3, which are directly managed by the province.

The joint inspection team plans to focus on guiding and inspecting the safety of temporary structures, the status of emergency temporary power usage, vulnerable facilities on site such as fire and suffocation risks, and measures to ensure the quality of wet concrete work during winter.

Minor issues found during the inspection will be immediately corrected, and for matters requiring mid- to long-term review, safety management plans will be submitted and continuously monitored until resolved to ensure thorough safety management.

Go Bung-ro, Director of Railway Construction at Gyeonggi Province, said, “At railway construction sites, especially during underground tunnel work, it is crucial to prevent worker safety accidents caused by temporary structure safety and fire or suffocation, as well as to manage the quality of concrete inside tunnels due to temperature drops.” He added, “Through joint inspections, we will identify risk factors for safety accidents in advance and do our best to manage safety.”
