POSCO E&C, 30th Anniversary Exhibition 'Records of Challenge, Commitment to Innovation'

POSCO E&C announced on the 10th that it has opened the "Record of Challenge, Commitment to Innovation Exhibition" to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Held since the 4th in the lobby on the first floor of POSCO E&C's Songdo headquarters, this exhibition showcases 30 success stories of POSCO E&C. Visitors can experience the journey from the launch of POSCO Development, construction of steel and energy plants, development of Songdo International City, launch of residential brands (The Sharp and Othier), expansion into infrastructure such as roads, railways, ports, and marine bridges, to research and development (R&D) and smart construction. The exhibition also unveiled 30 success story icons visualized using the "30th Anniversary Emblem" launched in January.

A POSCO E&C official said, "Before publishing the company history, we held this exhibition to record the 30 years of challenges and to pledge innovation for the next 30 years. It contains the sweat, passion, and dedication of former and current employees, their families, partners, and customers who have quietly fulfilled their duties."

The exhibition frames are made of steel material coated with eco-friendly green. POSCO E&C explained that through the steel, they symbolically expressed the identity of the POSCO Group, the essence of the construction industry, and the company’s challenge to grow steadily without wavering even in times of crisis. Additionally, banners representing the leap for the next 30 years were placed throughout the exhibition hall to evoke anticipation for the future blueprint. A "Next 30" booth was also set up where employees can attach their reflections and support messages to instant photos taken at the exhibition photo zone.

The contents introduced in this exhibition will be available in more detail in the 30-year company history book to be published on the anniversary on the 1st of next month. The company history book breaks away from the traditional thick booklet format and is composed of 30 success stories vividly capturing episodes from the time, a brief history, and photos of the people making history. The paper size is arranged in a stepped manner by decade to express the company’s 30-year process of growth and leap. The spine of the book is made with exposed thread binding to evoke the feel of a building wall.

A POSCO E&C official said, "Through this exhibition prepared for the 30th anniversary, employees will once again share the history of challenge and innovation, unite through empathy, communication, perseverance, and challenge, overcome upcoming crises, and vigorously leap forward together for the next 30 years."
