Park Dan, the emergency committee chair of the Korean Intern Resident Association (KIRA), shared an article on his personal SNS (social networking service) on the 10th reporting that President Im Hyun-taek was voted no-confidence at the KMA Delegate Assembly's extraordinary general meeting, stating, "Ultimately, all roads lead to the right path."
Chairman Park had previously urged President Im to resign, arguing that he did not represent resident doctors and medical students amid the medical policy conflict.
Before the extraordinary general meeting, he publicly requested the impeachment of President Im on behalf of 90 resident doctors, including himself, addressed to the KMA delegates.
In the letter at that time, he said, "I hope that with a new president capable of understanding and communication at the forefront, the KMA and KIRA can build mutual solidarity in the future."
