Wanju 'Bobusang Market' Opening Rush Spectacle

Farmers Sell Agricultural Products Like Persimmons, Ginger, and Mushrooms
Colorful Events Draw Over 15,000 Visitors

In Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk, the 'Samnye Cultural Arts Village Boboosang Market with Wanju Farmers' event attracted over 15,000 visitors, achieving great success.


According to the county on the 11th, during the two-day event held on the 9th and 10th at Samnye Cultural Arts Village, a spectacular scene unfolded with lines extending over 100 meters starting from the opening run.

At the event venue, welcoming the abundant autumn, more than 20 Wanju farmers sold agricultural products they personally cultivated, such as persimmons, ginger, mushrooms, and Makgeolli. Booths selling high-quality products prepared by about 90 sellers nationwide, including meal kits, handcrafted clothing, desserts, household items, and miscellaneous goods, also caught visitors' attention.


The Boboosang organizers held a 5,000 KRW discount event for the first 100 customers during the event period, which led to many visitors lining up from the entrance of Samnye Cultural Arts Village, greatly enhancing the event atmosphere.


To ensure safety during the event, the county received cooperation from Wanju Police Station, Wanju Fire Station, Wanju-gun Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group, and volunteers to control and guide traffic congestion points, assisting visitors' convenience.


At the indoor performance hall, historical Nanta madanggeuk (traditional Korean percussion play) by 'Performing Arts Yong,' composed of Wanju youth, was presented. Various side events such as performances by the 'Wanju Philharmonic' ensemble and a bubble show were also prepared, providing abundant sights and entertainment.


Yoo Hee-tae, the governor of Wanju-gun, said, "I deeply thank the visitors who have shown great enthusiasm every time the Boboosang Market is held," adding, "We will strive to prepare diverse content and programs so that Samnye Cultural Arts Village becomes widely known, and transforms into a stay-type tourist destination where many people want to visit again and stay."
