Producer Behind Ros?'s 'Apartment' Parody
Nearly 500,000 Views in Just Two Days
A parody video of the song "Apartment" (APT), originally sung by BLACKPINK member Ros? and famous American pop star Bruno Mars, featuring North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un and Kim Yo-jong, Deputy Director of the North Korean Workers' Party, created using artificial intelligence (AI), has gone viral, and now a parody video of G-Dragon (GD)'s new song "POWER" has been released.
According to YouTube and other platforms on the 10th, the channel "Hwaseongin Rildoji" uploaded a deepfake (AI-generated realistic fake content) titled "Dwaejideuregon-POWER" on the 8th, synthesizing and rewriting the lyrics as if Kim Jong-un was singing. The video has nearly reached 500,000 views in just two days. Lyrics such as "I got the power, the power power up" were replaced in the parody video with "Roket power, provocation stomp, provocation stomp." Additionally, the original lyrics "Eokka jjal peoda shalrashalra hada shout out" were changed to "On-gat salpo hada sswarasswara hada, sswara."
Previously, the "Apartment" parody video, which recorded 5.5 million views, began with the intro line "Chaeyoung likes random games, random games, game start," rewritten by North Korea's leading announcer Ri Chun-hee as "Parents like provocation plans, provocation plans, nonsense." The word "Apartment" was changed to "Roket," satirizing North Korea's missile launches and Russia's deployment of troops to North Korea. The line "Kiss face, kissy face. Sent to your phone but" was rewritten as "Surprise deployment, surprise deployment, shelling at the forefront," and "Hold on, hold on. I'm on my way" was changed to "Chaos, chaos, I am everywhere." Kim Yo-jong's voice was dubbed over Ros?'s, and the parts sung by Bruno Mars were replaced with Kim Jong-un's voice.
The response was enthusiastic. Comments included, "Seeing this YouTuber still alive, it seems Kim Jong-un is a fan too," "North Korea Aoji Chart No.1," "How about playing this every day on loudspeakers toward the North," "It's crazy how they made it sound similar to the original pronunciation," "Kim Juae also subscribed," and "This is true liberal democracy."
