"I Blinked Often to Avoid Being Caught"… Sociopath Reveals How to Identify Them Directly

Released as a TikTok Video... Gaining Millions of Views and Sparking Buzz
"I'm Also a Sociopath... You Need to Look at the Eyes to Tell Them Apart"

A model who revealed herself as a sociopath has attracted attention by sharing a method to identify sociopaths like herself.

The New York Post reported on the 9th (local time) that Australian model Kanika Batra-Matherson recently introduced this method through her social media (SNS). The video has recorded millions of views on TikTok.

In the video, Matherson advised looking into the eyes to distinguish sociopaths. She explained, "The eyes of a sociopath sometimes appear dead, emotionless, and their gaze is vacant." She added, "I had to train myself to blink frequently so that people wouldn't find out I am a sociopath."

A sociopath is characterized by a tendency to commit bad acts by any means for their own benefit, rationalizing themselves without feeling guilty. If a psychopath is someone who lacks emotions altogether, a sociopath can be seen as someone who uses emotions as a tool.

People who shamelessly steal colleagues' work achievements, blame others for mistakes, bully and ostracize friends, or lie habitually may fall into this category. However, since it is related to antisocial personality disorder rather than a diagnosable specific condition, it is known to be difficult to detect in real life. According to statistics, 4% of humanity are sociopaths.

Bill Eddy, a licensed clinical social worker in San Diego, California, stated, "Sociopaths are among the most well-hidden personality disorders (antisocial personality disorder) and one of the most dangerous." He emphasized, "They put a lot of energy into deceiving us, so they are hard to catch, and most people don't know what to watch out for, so anyone can become a target."

He urged, "Trust your feelings more than their words, and if you feel uncomfortable or extreme, check it out."
