Actress Lee Si-young successfully climbed the 4,000m-high Mardihimal in the Himalayas with her 6-year-old son.


On the 8th, Lee Si-young posted on her Instagram about her trekking experience in Nepal's Himalayas at Mardihimal with her son Jeong-yoon (6). She said, "We couldn't reach the summit by the targeted sunrise time," adding, "We started preparing from 3 a.m., and the Sherpa uncle carried the child on his back, and I also carried him on my back, trying to arrive quickly within the time, but our pace was too slow, so we missed the sunrise as planned."

She continued, "Still, without anyone falling behind, we reached the 4,000m-high Mardihimal viewpoint," and said, "The weather was bad throughout the trekking, and at the end, rain and snow hit us, which was worrying, but on the last day, like a gift, we were blessed with clear views in all directions, including Machapuchare Hiunchuli and the southern peak of Annapurna," expressing her emotion. Lee Si-young added, "I am very grateful and happy for every moment of the process inside the Himalayas with Jeong-yoon," and said, "Having a snowball fight in the Himalayas... Jeong-yoon asked several times, 'Why is the sky so blue?' It was so beautiful that I already miss it. Thanks to everyone who joined us."

The video and photos she shared along with the post showed Lee Si-young climbing the mountain carrying her son on her back inside a carrier. The footage also captured moments of her holding hands with her son while walking in the Himalayas and enjoying a snowball fight.


Previously, in January last year, Lee Si-young also succeeded in climbing Hallasan while carrying her son on her back. Later at the end of last year, she shared an update that she was challenging the Himalayas and suffering from altitude sickness, receiving comfort and encouragement from fans.


Lee Si-young debuted in 2008 with the drama "Urban Ghost Story Dejavu Season 3" and later gained recognition through movies such as "Dangerous Meeting" and "Men's User Manual," as well as various entertainment programs. She also worked as an amateur boxer and made headlines by winning the women's 48kg category at the 2012 Seoul City Boxing Representative Selection. Lee Si-young married a businessman 9 years her senior who works in the food industry in 2017 and gave birth to her son the following year.
