The Happy Dookki Project was initiated to provide stable meals to children at risk of food insecurity who do not receive public meal support. Approximately 60 children at risk will receive a total of 13,200 lunchboxes over 10 months, with 22 meals provided each month.

This project is carried out through a public-private partnership between Namyangju City, the Happy Alliance, and the Happy Lunchbox Social Cooperative.

The Happy Alliance supports children’s dietary needs by providing project funds and various donated goods, while the Happy Lunchbox Social Cooperative is responsible for the entire process including menu planning, cooking, delivery, and hygiene management to ensure children receive safe and nutritious meals.

A parent who received the lunchbox support said, “Thanks to this lunchbox support, my child can have a balanced meal, which gives me peace of mind,” and added, “It greatly helps by reducing the burden of meal preparation in daily life.”

With this support, the children are expected to consistently receive healthy meals, positively impacting their physical development and learning abilities. Furthermore, Namyangju City plans to continue managing the program to ensure that children remain eligible for public meal support even after the project ends.
