December 12 to 15 at Busan Library Exhibition Hall, Theme: 'My Home'
“At the end of the year, we invite you to a warm exhibition prepared by Busan Library!”
Busan Library will hold a special exhibition titled ‘Homecoming Day (HOMECOMIGDAY): An Invitation to My Home’ from December 12 to December 15 in the exhibition hall on the 2nd floor of Busan Library.
This exhibition centers on the theme of ‘my home,’ a space that remembers waiting and warmth, expressing the memories and scenes mediated by our daily movements and the space called home.
The exhibition is divided into four sections: ▲The alley leading into the home ▲The living room where one can rest comfortably ▲The quiet study space for contemplation ▲The kitchen, a secret place unique to oneself. Each section is curated by artists Ryu Hosik, Joo Ahhyun, Cho Sujeong, and Park Kanghee, respectively.
Visitors can explore the alleyways where light seeped out between rows of houses, the countless novels read while curled up in the corner of a room, and the layers of memories piled up, all within the everyday space of the library.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Mondays and public holidays when the library is closed.
Kang Eunhee, Director of Busan Library, said, “This exhibition, themed around the warm space of ‘my home,’ conveys our hope that the library becomes a warm place for everyone.” She added, “Our library will continue to strive to create happy moments for citizens visiting Busan Library through high-quality special exhibitions. We plan to increase public interest in Busan Library’s exhibitions by offering various art exhibitions and experiential programs that people of all ages, not just families, can enjoy.”
