The Gwangju Employers Federation (Chairman Yang Jin-seok) held the "Honam Region Integrated Workshop" over two days on the 7th and 8th at Sol Beach Jindo, attended by more than 80 officials involved in the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Youth Growth Project from the Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeju regions.
Through this workshop, the Gwangju Employers Federation sought to explore business linkage with other regions, share cases, and discuss plans to enhance the substance of next year's projects.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor's Youth Growth Project is a new initiative that provides customized programs for unemployed youth, connects necessary youth employment policies, and supports workplace adaptation training for new employees at priority support companies.
The workplace adaptation support project promoted by the Gwangju Employers Federation offers youth-friendly organizational culture programs on topics such as leadership innovation for CEOs and managers, understanding the MZ generation, communication and empathy, and conflict management. During the workshop, cases of youth cafe operations by the Gwangju Youth Job Station and workplace adaptation support by the Jeju Social Economy Network were shared. Through breakout discussions, solutions to problems encountered during project implementation were derived, creating a meaningful networking opportunity.
Lee Seong-ryong, Director of the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, who attended the event, expressed gratitude for the efforts of project stakeholders who share concerns about difficulties faced by local youth in employment and workplace adaptation, stating, "We will continue to support each young person to establish a foundation and grow in the local community through work."
Yang Jin-seok, Chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation, said, "The Youth Growth Project is a policy that can contribute to minimizing the chronic problem of job mismatches in the employment market. We will actively utilize the youth cafe infrastructure to seek youth job opportunities and lead the realization of employment policies and corporate support through onboarding programs that break down generational barriers between managers and new employees and facilitate communication."
