Hong Joon-pyo Criticizes Yoon Within the Ruling Party

Hong Jun-pyo, the mayor of Daegu, criticized the ruling party's internal criticism surrounding President Yoon Seok-yeol's national address and press conference, saying, "The original Kim lady line has no right to hate the Yoon administration."

On the 8th, Mayor Hong wrote on social media (SNS), "Seeing some political ronin who lost in the general election and had nowhere to go undermine party unity and slander the Yoon administration more than the opposition party, it feels like witnessing an anomie phenomenon on the eve of Park Geun-hye's impeachment."

He added, "I cannot help but feel pity when I see them wandering here and there, attaching themselves to some faction and engaging in self-destructive behavior."

Regarding those within the ruling party who criticize the Yoon administration, he raised his voice, saying, "The people and party members will not be deceived twice by the effects of Park Geun-hye's impeachment. Instead, go under Representative Lee Jae-myung."

"Even if you dislike it, it is the administration we established," he said, pointing out, "You, who have not contributed at all to the birth of the Yoon administration and belong to the original Kim (Geon-hee) lady line, have no right to hate the Yoon administration."

After President Yoon Seok-yeol's national address and press conference the previous day, Mayor Hong posted on SNS, "The president made a sincere apology and promised to halt Kim (Geon-hee) lady's external activities and to reform the government. Now, we must watch over this, unite, and stabilize the country from chaos."
