Pocheon Office of Education and CHA University of Science and Technology Collaborate
to Develop and Support Digital Education Programs Including AI, SW, and Edutech
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 8th that on the 7th, it signed an agreement with the Gyeonggi-do Pocheon Office of Education and Cha University of Medicine and Science at Cha University of Medicine and Science's Future Hall to promote the Pocheon Education Development Special Zone and the Gyeonggi-do RISE (Regional Innovation System for Excellence) project.

The RISE project stands for Regional Innovation System for Excellence. It is a system where universities become the center of regional development to revitalize the area, and the region fosters competitive local universities to build an ecosystem for regional development.
Through this agreement, the three institutions agreed to innovate Pocheon's educational environment and strengthen support for education so that students can acquire the competencies needed for future society.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint research on community development and academic fields ▲ development of career and job exploration programs ▲ operation of autonomous public high school curricula ▲ cultivation of specialized talents for high school employment linked with universities ▲ development and support of digital education programs such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Software (SW), and Edutech ▲ Neulbom School project ▲ support for the development of customized programs for multicultural students.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “Through this agreement, Pocheon students will have broader opportunities for learning and growth,” and added, “I hope Pocheon City will become a solid foundation to contribute to regional educational development together with universities.”
